The district Wiedikon by foot
The "mountain" of Zurich is called "Üetliberg". The former farming village "Wiedikon" is located at the foot of the mountain. In 1893 the village became a district of Zurich, nowadays known as district 3.
It's lovely to stroll at the Idaplatz, discover small shops, bars and Cafés. Anyhow it's perfect to discover the whole district by foot.
You can walk until the "Albisgüetli" where the biggest Chilbi of Switzerland is held every autumn. If you have your good shoes with you, you can do a romantic walk through the forest which leady you to the top of the "Üetliberg".
If you are walking around on Saturdays during Sabbat you will notice a lot of orhodox Jews who go to the Synagogue which is located about 3 minutes from the guesthouse. Thanks to them you can buy a lot of kosher ingredients just around the corner.
The crazy Longstreet is located in the district 4 and five but starts about 5 minutes by foot from the "Guten Glück" and ends about two kilometers later at the river Limmat.
